Dr. Mary Choi is a medical epidemiologist with the CDC’s Viral Special Pathogens Branch. She and has been extensively involved in the agency’s Ebola response to include multiple deployments to DRC to support surveillance, outbreak response, and data analysis activities. She was extensively involved in the 2014 West Africa to include supporting outbreak response, surveillance activities, and infection control in Liberia and Guinea . She has also deployed to Dallas and New York City where she worked she worked to ensure the safety of the healthcare workers caring for EVD patients. In addition, she has worked extensively with the Liberian Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization to set up the first ever semen testing program for Ebola virus.
